Beaches

Anini Beach Park
Anini is popular for windsurfing, snorkeling and playing in the water. The water is more shallow here than at other beaches, and an offshore reef keeps the surface relatively calm. Trees and pavilions provide ample shade. Look out for the strong current in the marked channel near the boat ramp.

Ha’ena Beach Park
The jungle meets the ocean at this gorgeous strip of sand on Maniniholo Bay. The strong waves make this beach less ideal for swimming and surfing, but it’s certainly a beautiful place to spend the day. Tunnels Beach is within walking distance.

Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park
Hanalei Pavilion is the perfect setting for long walks by the water, sandcastle building, and simply relaxing in the sun. The beach is located just before Black Pot Beach on Weke Road. Make sure to bring a beach umbrella for shade.

Ke’e Beach
Ke’e is one of the loveliest spots on the island and a definite “must see.” Take a short walk along the lagoon for incredible views of the Napali Coast at sunset. The snorkeling here is excellent when the water is calm.

Pine Trees (Waioli Beach Park)
Surf’s up at Pine Trees, a beach park dedicated to surfing and bodyboarding. Trees provide plenty of shade, and there are two permanent volleyball courts near the lifeguard station. Please note that swimming is discouraged.
Family Activities

Food Tours
Marta Lane at Tasting Kauai takes you on a gastronomic adventure. Opt for a one-hour tour of the farmers market (perfect if you like to cook in your condo or just want to know where your food comes from). Or spend a half day exploring local farms and restaurants while tasting authentic Hawaiian fare. Visit www.tastingkauai.com for more information.

Helicopter Tour
With 90% of Kauai inaccessible by road, a helicopter tour is the perfect way to see the island’s hidden beauty. Your tour will take you past many famous areas that have been featured in movies, over the magnificent Waimea Canyon, and down the impenetrable Napali Coast. Ask our on-site concierge for details.

Traditional Luau
Experience Hawaii’s storied past at a traditional luau. Complete with hula, fire dancing, and a full Hawaiian dinner. Our on-site concierge will recommend the best luau on the island and even set you up with your reservations and transportation upon request.

Maniniholo Dry Cave
Located directly across the street from Ha’ena Beach Park, this large cave is easy to explore and fun with kids. Make sure to bring a flashlight. If you’re up for a short hike, there are also two wet caves, Waikanaloa and Waikapale, located just up the road. Do not swim in the wet caves.
